Job Summary

Join our culinary team at CulinArt Group in Kalamazoo, MI, as our new Chef Manager, where your culinary expertise and leadership will thrive in an exceptionally dynamic environment. This outstanding opportunity allows you to successfully execute innovative culinary techniques and balanced practices within our food service operations. We are seeking a growth-minded Chef Manager for our growing business. In this role, you will be responsible for the success of both the culinary and food service operations. 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Full culinary management of food service operations, including inventory, ordering, and receiving.

  • Develop and maintain flawless menus with a focus on cost controls and local food products.

  • Coordinate P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience to ensure financial success.

  • Exhibit a passion for sustainability by sourcing and using local ingredients.

  • Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including HACCP standards.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Proven working knowledge of HACCP.

  • At least three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining, or restaurant settings, with strong inventory and purchasing control.

  • Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends, focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.

  • Experience in exposition cooking.

  • ServSafe certification is considered a plus.
