POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible for preparing nutritional and attractive meals for residents at The Fountains and The Commons.

This position has a full-time schedule of Monday-Thursday from 10:30a-7p. Weekends and holidays may be required.

This position has a starting wage range $17.50-18.38 per hour.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Complete basic meal specials, daily prep cooking duties, basic soups, sauces, and desserts from scratch and to the Food Service Manager’s Specifications. 


2. Prepare and plate meal orders utilizing proper food handling and presentation. 


3. Follow all Mesa County and Colorado Department of Health regulations to proper food handling including proper hand washing, temperature logs, and sanitizing of food service equipment. 


4. Assist with dish stocking, cleaning kitchen knives, equipment, and deep cleaning duties as assigned. 


5. Ensure food and supplies are at correct temperature and condition when received.   
   Rotate and stock supplies according to health codes and Food Service Manager’s specifications. 


6. Assist with catering duties as needed. 

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Regular attendance/ punctuality.


2. Cooperate with others.


3. Be completely honest.


4. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); three to six months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
