Key Accountabilities
Performs delegated non-medical activities using specific competencies for the patient population served.
Assists in meeting the non-medical needs of the resident in collaboration with the care team to ensure quality, cost-effective safe resident care practices.
Performs basic tasks such as making beds, stripping rooms, passing water and snacks, resident laundry, etc.
Respectfully addresses situations to ensure resident concerns and needs are met.
Identifies ways to improve the resident’s experience of care, streamline care processes, and lower costs to improve resident, family, and team member satisfaction. Identifies and escalates resident risk to prevent crises.
Demonstrates professional and therapeutic relationships with residents, families, team members, and providers.
Responds to resident call lights. Assists in transporting residents to in-facility activities.
Qualifications
Supportive, caring, and compassionate.
High School diploma or equivalent certificate preferred
Physical Demands
Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of fifty (50) pounds without assistance
Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
Work Environment
Normally works in climate controlled office environment
Frequent sitting with movement throughout office space
Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments
Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
Occasional high noise level in work environment.
Possible exposure to communicable diseases, hazardous materials, and pharmacological agents.
Transporting, transferring, positioning patients and/or equipment from one location to another; little likelihood for injury if proper body mechanics and procedures are followed
Occasional contact with aggressive and or combative patients.
Use of computers throughout work day
Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrist and fingers
