Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Cook to join our kitchen team at our Waikiki location. In this role, you will assist the Chef and Sous Chef in managing daily culinary operations. You will oversee kitchen staff, including cooks and prep cooks, ensuring the quality and consistency of food preparation. As a Lead Cook, you will uphold high kitchen standards and manage purveyor accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards using various techniques such as grilling, frying, and sautéing.
• Quality Control: Ensure all food items meet specifications, are correctly dated, packed, sealed, and labeled.
• Leadership: Assign daily tasks to kitchen staff based on their skills and capabilities.
• Kitchen Management: Supervise kitchen operations in the absence of the Chef and Sous Chef.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe kitchen environment.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma required; some college education preferred.
• Experience: Previous management experience in a high-volume culinary setting is required.
• Culinary Skills: Strong knife handling and proficiency in cooking techniques.
• Health Requirements: Valid TB Clearance required.
• Leadership: Proven ability to manage and delegate tasks to kitchen staff.
