  • JOB TITLE: Line Cook; Taco Station/Point Person


  • REPORTS TO: Culinary Manager


  • PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: The primary objective of the point person is essentially to lead the line through the entire food production service. Not only does this line cook build expertly crafted tacos & rice bowls and manage proteins cooking on the grill, but they also communicate with the other line cooks and the expeditor to ensure that food is going out in a timely, organized manner with exceptional quality and efficiency.

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Controls the flow of food coming out from the kitchen

  • Communicates with fellow line cooks to ensure all items to complete the ticket come out together in a timely fashion

  • Communicates with the expeditor to keep organized, on track, and aware

  • Follows recipes & guidelines to create food that is quality and consistent

  • Building tacos and cooking proteins on the flame & flat top grill

  • Uses a variety of cooking utensils and equipment to prep and execute a variety of food items

  • Follows safety & sanitation guidelines to reduce safety risks and cross contamination

  • Uses chit tickets to build & appropriately plate tacos and rice bowls

  • Stocks, maintains, and cleans the taco & grill station before, during, and after shift

  • MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have reliable means of transportation

  • Must be able to read and identify order items on a chit ticket

  • Must have previous kitchen experience in a high volume restaurant

  • Must have the ability to stand on feet for up to 8 hours per shift

  • Ability to lift heavy objects often
