The iconic Waldorf Astoria is seeking a Pastry Sous Chef to join the culinary leadership team at the award-winning Las Vegas property!  




 




Located in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip, this luxurious hotel has 389 rooms, 6 food and beverage outlets, and 12,000 square feet of meeting space. This includes a 3-meal restaurant, fine dining restaurant, tea lounge, bar, pool cafe, and in-room dining.  




 




 





 



 


What will I be doing? 



Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: 



  • Assist in the preparation and production of a wide range of top-quality pastries, buffet desserts, plated desserts, and baked goods.

  • Ensure all products are consistent in quality, taste, and presentation.

  • Monitor and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in the pastry kitchen.

  • Collaborate with the Head Pastry Chef to develop new recipes and menus.

  • Innovate and experiment with new flavors, ingredients, and techniques.

  • Supervise and train pastry staff, ensuring they are well-versed in pastry techniques and kitchen protocols.

  • Delegate tasks and oversee the work of pastry cooks.

  • Provide feedback and guidance to improve performance and skills.
