Job Summary:

Prepares and serves menu items. Ensures food preparation meets health requirements by the department. Maintains sanitary kitchen facility. Applies substantial knowledge of the job and experience to complete a wide range of activities with varying difficulty. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

  • High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
  • Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
  • Two years' relevant experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • SERV Safe certification or equivalent: Preferred
  • SERVSAFE OR CFH OR FH-BFSC OR FH-efoodcard: Required

Essential Functions:

  • Prepares food orders for catering orders, patients, customers, etc.
  • Ensures proper cooking procedures are being followed.
  • Ensures that supplies and equipment are used and maintained in a safe, cost-effective manner in accordance with established standards and policies.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
