Café Sous Chef (Full Time)

The Café Sous Chef is responsible for purchasing for the café and for leading a café team in absence of and in conjunction with the Café Chef. They will be the main point of contact for their café team of staff and act as a liaison between all café staff during the hours that the store is open. They are responsible for ensuring that café staff complete their tasks for the day and assist the team by any means necessary. They should be familiar with all aspects of the kitchen so that they are a resource for staff and guests. They work closely with the Café Chef on all Café needs.

The Ideal Candidate will:

• Stay calm under pressure, remain positive, and ensure that staff is happy and productive
• Be a great multi-tasker, delegator, and communicator, ensuring that the Café Chef is always well-informed of all staffing and operations issues
• Ensure that food is prepared and abundantly displayed according to café standards
• Be a role model of hospitality
• Have a culinary degree or extensive cooking and production experience
• Have at least 1 year supervisory and leadership experience and at least 3 years professional kitchen experience

Hours: Full Time

Pay: Starts at $22.50 per hour; previous experience will be taken into consideration
