Well Done Cooking Classes in Houston, TX is looking for a dynamic position of Chef Instructor. This candidate loves teaching and entertaining guests while cooking in a friendly environment. 




Our instructors come from various backgrounds including, former educators, empty nesters, recreational and professional chefs, foodies, food bloggers, nutritionists, youth, and community leaders, who want to show people how to create wonderful and delicious meals while having fun.




Shifts are typically 7 hours per shift with the potential to work up to 5 days a week.




Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, dynamic, motivated, and hard-working.




Responsibilities Include: 




  • Sets the tone and displays customer service standards for customers and employees.
  • Ensures recipes and curriculum are followed while using creative ways to deliver a fun and exceptional class experience
  • Researches and maintains knowledge on culinary trends, develops ideas for classes, and crave personal development in the form of training, news, or resources
  • Sanitation and cleanliness are top of mind while maintaining clean work and guest areas
  • Ensures all food items are cooked and served at the correct temperature and under sanitary conditions.
  • Works with team to reach target sales objectives while striving to achieve individual high-performance as well
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to allow for a more efficient flow of the class
  • Take a proactive approach to solve problems with thoughtful and decisive action as well as taking ownership of issues and work to resolve as appropriate
  • Prepare for cooking lessons: grocery shopping, prepping/cleaning for classes and events, etc.
  • Maintains a safe, orderly, and engaging classroom environment
  • Attends company training and meetings
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

  • Possess strong cooking skills
  • Experience with classroom management
  • Possess a customer-service first attitude
  • Passionate teaching people about food and different techniques
  • Excellent ability to engage an audience and keep a lively environment
  • Highly responsible with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Pass background check & fingerprinting
  • Ability to work individually or with a team
  • Safety minded
  • Able to multi-task while working under time restraints

Education: 




  • High School Diploma required
  • College degree in Education, Nutrition or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Preferred Experience


  • Successful experience teaching or leading cooking classes or courses
  • Public speaking in front of an audience

Tools and Equipment: 




Reliable transportation with a valid Texas driver's license
