Kitchen Assistant - Camp Jackson

The YMCA of Pueblo is looking for Summer Staff for our resident camp at YMCA Camp Jackson in Rye, Colorado. Camp Jackson Staff live an active outdoor lifestyle. Working at Summer Camp requires energy, enthusiasm, compassion, and a passion for making the world a better place. Our team of dedicated professionals work closely together in the beautiful San Isabel National Forest to create meaningful outdoor experiences for youth and families.

Camp Jackson is looking for a Kitchen Assistant who will enthusiastically represent the YMCA by displaying a positive attitude, maintaining a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job. Camp staff must embody the four-character values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Food Services in preparing good tasting, healthy food. The Kitchen Assistant will maintain a safe, clean kitchen and assist with the clean up after meals. Meals and lodging available. This is a seasonal position.

• Meal preparation
• Dish washing and kitchen clean-up
• Safety/Risk Management (ServSafe recommended)
• Will be required to work some stay over weekends as assigned
• These are not the only duties to be performed. Some duties may be reassigned, and other duties may be assigned as required

• At least 18 years of age
• Great customer service
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Greet all visitors, campers, and staff with a professional and friendly attitude
• Act as a positive role model for campers and other staff, demonstrating the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in the performance of job duties
