Weβre looking for experienced Lead Cook to join our kitchen team. a Lead Cook will be responsible for overseeing station prep, setup, service and breakdown while maintaining sanitation standards.
Lead Cook Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing and assisting in all kitchen functions from ordering, inventory, prep, service, breakdown and cleanup.
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes.
- Assigns daily prep work for line cooks and ensures the kitchen is set up and ready for service.
- Trains and develops line cooks per restaurant standards.
- Adheres to chefβs standards for all prepared food products.
- Works with servers to ensure that orders are completed in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that kitchen operation procedures for food prep, storage areas and hygiene meet food health and safety standards and regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Lead Cook Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years management experience in a similar role.
- Valid King County food handlerβs permit.
- Ability to lead, mentor and execute kitchen functions.
- In-depth, working knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
- Excellent communication, organizational and multitasking skills.
- Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team setting.
