Description

Principle Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients and recipes according to established standards and recipes.
  • Cooking: Execute cooking techniques such as grilling, sautéing, frying, baking, and broiling to produce high-quality dishes.
  • Station Management: Manage a specific station in the kitchen (e.g., grill, sauté, pantry) efficiently during service, ensuring all orders are prepared accurately and timely.
  • Food Safety: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, including proper storage, handling, and labeling of food items.
  • Quality Control: Monitor food quality throughout the cooking process to ensure consistency and adherence to recipe standards.
  • Plating and Presentation: Plate dishes according to established presentation guidelines to maintain consistency and enhance the visual appeal of the food.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of orders, communicating effectively and assisting as needed.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to ensure proper functionality and hygiene standards are met.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management tasks such as receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and maintaining accurate records of ingredient usage.
  • Adaptability: Remain flexible and able to handle various tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the chef or kitchen manager, especially during busy periods or special events.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other members of the kitchen team to promote a positive work environment and contribute to overall efficiency and success.
  • Training and Development: Continuously seek opportunities to improve culinary skills and knowledge through training, feedback, and self-directed learning to enhance job performance and career growth.

  • Must be at a minimum of 21 years of age.
