Job Description
We're seeking a dynamic Sous Chef to support managing our kitchen operations. The Sous Chef will be able to excel in a fast-paced environment, possess a passion for culinary arts, and have outstanding leadership skills. You'll play a key role in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
Compensation
$48,000-$57,000 annually, depending on experience.

Location
In-person in Las Vegas, NV, 89109: Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
Responsibilities
- Support in all aspects of kitchen management, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Supervise, train, and coach kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Contribute creative ideas to enhance our menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
- Ensure the consistency and presentation of all dishes, upholding our restaurant's standards.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage food costs effectively.
- Participate in weekly inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels of food and supplies, ensuring efficient restaurant operations.
- Uphold food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
- Address any kitchen challenges that arise and adapt to the fast-paced demands of a casino environment.
- Create staff schedules to optimize performance during peak hours.
Skills / Experience
- At least 1 year of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar high-volume kitchen role, preferably in a restaurant or casino setting.
- Must possess a Nevada Health Card.
- Strong ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- A genuine enthusiasm for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Bonus Skills / Experience
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, with strong communication skills to effectively engage with our diverse team and guests.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Previous experience working in a casino setting is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Work indoors and move throughout the property, lift, bend/kneel & work outdoors less than 25% of the time.
- Hearing, vision, speech, and literacy are critical required skills.
- Ability to work in environments that are smoky, noisy, hot, cold, or humid.
- Carry service trays overhead.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
