The Junior Chefs Instructor co-teaches a basic culinary arts class that helps children ages 6-10 and 11-14 learn about nutrition, kitchen safety, and cooking.  This job is located at our off-site childcare location at 1701 East Century Avenue in Bismarck.

• Be a role model
• Guide participants through pre-planned activities
• Communicate appropriately with participants and parents
• Assure that children safely participate in food prep, cooking, baking and educational activities
• Assist with set up and clean up before and after the program session

Part Time, Tuesday and/or Thursday, 6:10 pm-7:30 pm

Program Dates October-April

We are looking for someone who displays the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Must be age 16 or older. Previous experience working in a childcare or children's program preferred. Previous food service and/or food prep experience preferred. Must have the ability to handle competing demands. Must have the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with participants and parents.
